Bar Players opened its doors on October 13, 1986, and owes its name to the world of sports and the billiards and dartboards that were in the establishment at the time.
By now, the billiards table has been gone from the establishment for years, and it is currently a lively party bar in the center of Groningen featuring plenty of Dutch-language music interspersed with tracks from the 80s. Every month, we try to organize live music from well-known and unknown artists or bands that transform the bar into an exuberant party.
Various artists have already performed at Bar Players, such as Jan Smit, Frans Duyts, Frans Bauer, Jannes, Marianne Weber, Koos Alberts, Stef Ekkel, Lucas and Gea, Rene Schuurmans, Django Wagner, John West, and Henk Dissel.
