Chaplin’s pub has been gracing the Gedempte Zuiderdiep in the city since 1996.
And oh man, it’s been all about drinking for all these years. A delicious draft beer from one of our 18 taps, a glass of wine by the blazing fireplace, a whopper of a Weizen on the terrace, or a perfectly poured pint at our meters-long bar: our guests enjoy it all equally.
For all these years, De Chap has welcomed a very mixed crowd; hordes of students in all age categories, young professionals, and even thirty-somethings dare to grab a beer here and try a little dance… In any case, great people we are happy with!
If you are looking for a great place to go, come here! We are open every day from 5 pm, and an hour earlier on weekends so you can start a fantastic evening even sooner.
Drinks?!
It feels like we have a thousand of them every week. Almost every Friday and Saturday, we get to witness a graduation or birthday party. During the week, we deal more with student associations and companies coming here for drinks.
