Diyar Mangal, a Turkish restaurant unlike any other
In the heart of the city of Groningen, on the colorful Steenstilstraat, a Turkish restaurant, Diyar Mangal, has opened at number 17.
In Turkish, the word “Mangal” stands for charcoal, barbecue, and artisanal meat prepared over an open fire. “Diyar” was created by a loving combination of the first letters of the names of the owner’s three children: Dilara, Yuksel, and Arda.
