Our beautiful Flonk Hotel Groningen Centre is situated in a very convenient location in the city center of Groningen. The hotel features 77 comfortable hotel rooms and 7 fully furnished apartments. All rooms are equipped with a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet, a desk, LCD TV, telephone, and (free) Wi-Fi. Pets are not allowed, except for guide dogs.
Thanks to the hotel's ideal location, just inside the city canals and only a 10-minute walk from Central Station and the Groninger Museum, this is the perfect place for a visit to Groningen. Opposite the hotel, separated by only a single footbridge over the water, lies the De Oosterpoort music centre and theatre. From the hotel, it is only a 10-minute walk to the Grote Markt with the Martinitoren. Countless cozy terraces, cafés, and restaurants can be found on the Grote Markt. Surrounding the market are the shopping streets and interesting sights such as the Prinsentuin, the University of Groningen, and the Martinitoren.
Grand Café
The hotel's atmospheric Grand Café is located on the ground floor, directly behind the reception. In the morning, the Grand Café provides the charming ambiance in which the extensive international breakfast buffet is served. Throughout the day, the Grand Café is at your disposal for a cup of coffee or tea. You can unwind after shopping or read the newspaper in the adjacent, well-stocked library.
Fitness
You will find the fitness room on the ground floor of the hotel. This fitness room features four Technogym machines. In addition, the room is equipped with free weights and mats. The room is also provided with a television. The room is accessible until 10:00 PM, and access for guests is free. Bottled water is available at the reception for a fee.
Parking
We have our own parking garage beneath the hotel. It is not possible to reserve a parking space in advance; you can park subject to availability. The cost of parking is €17.00 per car per night. If you wish to use the parking garage, please report to the hotel reception. From there, our staff will show you how to drive into the garage.
On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, a valet parker is present to drive your car into the garage for you and out again when you leave. On other days, valet parking is available upon request. The parking garage features two electric car charging points.
Should there be no more space in the hotel's parking garage, we advise you to park in the Qpark garage at Rademarkt 27 in Groningen. Flonk Hotel Groningen Centre has a cooperation agreement with this garage, allowing you to park there at a reduced rate of €19.00 per 24 hours.
