Restaurant Meerwold We view cooking as an art, a craft, and a form of expression. With the restaurant, we give substance to the mission we have in our hotel, namely to provide a welcoming stay for our guests. This means a warm welcome, Groningen hospitality (down-to-earth and warm at the same time), and a strong focus on vitality by using healthy products that make our guests feel good.
Restaurant Meerwold is located in Flonk Hotel Groningen Zuid. The menu is based on French cuisine with Groningen influences. The wine list has been carefully curated from various regions and areas (France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Australia, and New Zealand). The various exclusive wines can be ordered by the glass from our own wine bar or as a wine pairing with your menu. We are, of course, happy to advise you on your food and wine pairing.

A building with a rich history The "Meerwold" building was constructed in 1991 and served as a KPN training center at the time. This remarkable structure has a very rich history. Back then, the building was still considered ultramodern, and today the design continues to receive high praise.
