Hospitality & day activities that make it work
Every month there is a new menu featuring six different main courses, various starters, and one or two desserts. Plenty of variety in meat, fish, or vegetarian options, and always affordable. That way, it stays fun for everyone!
The vast majority at Mennoos is homemade; every dish, but also the cookie with the coffee and the peppermint or chocolate afterwards. The aim is to make everything in-house in the near future—think, for example, of the bread at lunch! The chefs are truly returning to the craft of cooking. Creativity is paramount here, yet the dishes remain recognizable to everyone.
Turning something simple into something special, just a little bit different, and returning to where it all started: gathering around the table and simply enjoying yourselves!

Naturally, this does not happen by itself. As part of the Omega Group, Mennoos serves as a day activity location for young people from its residential facilities. Because there is such a large kitchen and the employees enjoy what they do, young people from the WLZ/WMO and UWV are also very welcome to gain work experience at their own level and pace.
No kid gloves, but rather a ‘get-it-done’ mentality, complemented by a healthy dose of enthusiasm for good food and drink, are the ingredients for the success of Mennoos Kookerij! The enthusiastic care coordinator ensures that every ‘client employee’ receives their own work or reintegration plan, based on their skill level and personal goals. The driven and cheerful hospitality team then provides the right guidance.
