The News Café is the most diverse and centrally located hospitality business in the center of Groningen.
The Grand Café, with surrounding terraces in the summer, is the meeting point of the city.

Restaurant
Our restaurant is located on the first floor. In a modern setting, we offer you a choice of uncomplicated dishes from various regions at a decidedly affordable price.
In the side wing of the restaurant, we have an atmospheric space for dinners and drinks for up to approximately 40 people. We offer various packages in the form of appetizers, buffets, and set menus.
Meeting
The News Café features three modern multi-purpose rooms on the third floor and a spacious dance club in the basement.
The rooms on the third floor are divided into three separate rooms, but can also be combined into one large room.
The three rooms are ideally suited for meetings, lectures, presentations, receptions, drinks, etc. If we combine all the rooms, this space is very suitable for large receptions, promotional parties, workshops, etc. Room 2 features a bar for your drinks and receptions.
The Dance Club in the basement can be used for parties, dance nights, cabaret performances, forums, and discussion rounds.
The club
A chic, elegant, and stylish club is located in the basement of the News Café. This ‘ready to party’ venue is available for bookings 7 days a week and is suitable for groups of 50 to 400 people. The club has a distinctive ambiance and features a complete sound system and lighting effects, making the location particularly suitable for galas, parties, drinks receptions, or birthday parties.
To give every party a personal touch, we provide nothing but custom work. With concrete agreements, clear costs, and the many different possibilities, a successful evening is guaranteed.
All kinds of parties can be hosted in our basement, and we can also put together tailor-made packages that include buffets or à la carte dinners.
