Kapsalon sandwich? I'll take a KabCab.

You don't only come across them in the well-known truck driver cafes: pork chops with bread. I know how to find them here and there in restaurants and bars, or otherwise enjoy them at home for lunch.

So simple and a source of energy for the rest of the (mid)day. The pork chop simmering deliciously in the gravy, the aroma that immediately rouses the taste buds at first contact…it makes your mouth water.

Delicious with two slices of bread with full-fat butter, a pickle on the side, a drop of Maggi… There is surely nothing wrong with this flavorful, nostalgic snack? And what shall we drink with it? The lightly oak-aged Chardonnay from Pedroncelli (California) is a perfect accompaniment for whites. For red, the absolute surprise is a lightly chilled Cabernet Sauvignon from La Tour des Dames (France). The cool fermentation the wine underwent reveals itself in ripe, fresh fruit. A Kapsalon sandwich? No, give me a KabCab sandwich instead… pork chop with Cabernet.
