Beautiful, magnificent, words fail me and my eyes welled up with tears! After 3 days I have almost recovered from April 30, 2013, King Willem Alexander.
In advance, I have no WWillem whave been selected, but after all the television footage, newspapers, social media, conversations on the street, and my own experience, I have made up my mind: Weissburgunder von BuhlThe classic winery Reichsrat von Buhl is located on the Deutsche Weinstrasse in the heart of the Palatinate.
The vineyards are located just north of the village of Deidesheim. The majority of the production consists of magnificent dry and noble sweet Riesling wines. Furthermore, since the 2008 vintage, they have been organically certified. In addition, Reichsrat von Buhl enjoys a great reputation for Sekt wines made from Riesling and Spätburgunder, or Pinot Noir. These offer a unique and affordable alternative to Champagne! The W stands for Pinot Blanc, Pinot Bianco, and Weissburgunder. Originally the same grape variety that respectively in France, Italy and Germany has been planted.
Nevertheless, the differences are significant. The grapevine adapts to the climatic conditions of the wine region and the specific soil type. The Weissburgunder from Reichsrat Von Buhl in the German Rhine-Palatinate is grown on predominantly calcareous soil, and combined with the relatively cool climate, the resulting wine here is refined, dry, and fresh in taste; versatile, from aperitif to accompaniment to a meal… and affordable at a popular price.
