Everyone is crazy about HUGO…or will become so!

HUGO polo, HUGO shirt, HUGO suit, HUGO perfume……The latter comes closest: the scents of the wines of HUGO.

Last winter, I tasted the fantastic wines of winemaker Markus Huber. He has won the Falstaff Grüner Veltliner Grand Prix four times and was also named “Best White Wine Producer” at the London International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Markus Huber owns around 25 hectares of vineyards in prime locations – climatically, Traisental, with its cool nights and warm days, is reminiscent of Burgundy, which lies at the same latitude – and has since become part of Austria's top tier. Under the HUGO label comes the exemplary fragrant and dry Grüner Veltliner, crafted with care. The modern, fresh appearance does justice to the aromatic and pure, expressive taste. This is a popular, high-quality wine from Huber, fermented in stainless steel tanks followed by three months of yeast contact for a full, round flavor. This is like a bespoke suit, but HUGO, made by Markus Huber.
