How special and particularly delicious this is: the wines of Château Musar from Lebanon…. lead- / bulletproof.
Anyone who has ever tasted Gaston Hochar's wines will never forget this taste: MUSAR = MUSAR. Made from the traditional grape varieties Syrah, Grenache, and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine ages for no less than 24 months in oak barrels. After this wood aging, the bottles remain in the cellar for at least another 3 years so that the Musar is ready to drink at the time of purchase. The vineyards are situated on gravelly calcareous clay soils at an altitude of around 1,000 meters in the Bekaa Valley. The long, warm summers guarantee excellent ripening of the grapes.
Some wine journalists go so far as to label Musar as one of the great wines of the world, and in my opinion, entirely justifiably. Taste the wines of Musar... a bullseye!
