Listen, read, and to Lauwersoog!

Even if you don't understand a word of it, everyone will embrace the song above and their mouths will water.
Yes, and indeed head towards Lauwersoog for the pure shrimp, or sample them at various eateries in the Groningen countryside.

So don't flee the City and the surrounding countryside, but rediscover them… by bike, enjoying the Groningen gold of the countryside and treating yourself to a delicious meal salad with Dutch shrimp. My dining companion goes for the shrimp incorporated into a croquette (also tasty!), so we average out for the wine choice. By the glass, 0.375 liters or 0.75 liters, we go for the whole bottle from the Cave des Grands Crus Blancs Mâcon-LochéFrance. A supreme, pure white Burgundy without oak aging or creaminess, but instead with a full, dry taste, very characteristic of this wine region. In fact, this wine is an example of the Chardonnay grape in its purest form. The result is excellent drinkability and versatility. No traffic jams at the French border, no mandatory breathalyzer test in the car… feel like royalty in the Groningen countryside!

Thanks to France for the wine, the sea for the shrimp, Ede Staal for the energetic song, Chef Bert for the composition on the plate... we continue our ride on our bikes!

3. To Lauwersoog…

TIP: make the best of it, and a bottle of wine will soothe the saddle soreness (and other suffering)!
