Less heat? Less crisis? Less... alcohol? I don't want to talk about the heat... finally sun, sun, and more sun. Crisis... oh well, we'll learn to live with that. Loosely translated, crisis means: a turning point; a change. Change in so many things... and the funny thing is that we don't yet know exactly how we are going to shape that because it is unknown to us; so we get to experience that too.
Let's talk about the wine: can it be a little less alcohol? A question I get regularly, and certainly quite logical with these tropical temperatures. Light wines… I have selected about 20 for you (link). Wines we can keep going with a little longer and where the alcohol percentage does not change proportionally as the temperature rises. My personal favorite Custoza: Full-bodied, fragrant dry white wine with a fruity aroma (apple and peach) and a round, full dry taste. The finish is fragrant and long. Beautiful and full of character... I'll have another glass of this. Last weekend on a lovely terrace on Schiermonnikoog, I felt in top form after 3 glasses of Custoza Monte del Fra... perhaps the Monte del Fra (Mountain of the Monk) actually suits Schier so well? Sun, plenty of wine, and fit... crisis? It's only a crisis when the wine runs out!
