With great admiration and pleasure, I sat in front of the TV on Sunday morning to watch the landing of our compatriot (and hero!) André Kuiper.
So tight; right on time and back on Earth with a “solid” collision… well, and then out of that capsule. If you didn't know better, it looked like the liberation of three men who had been out partying and came home quite tipsy. And then Kuipers with his delightful laugh… top-notch! From 28,000 km/h through space to 0 km/h on planet Earth! Would André have been in the mood for a glass of wine in that deck chair? If he wanted to, I would recommend the following wine to him; fitting for the return of the ISS to the steppe in Kazakhstan. Along the lines of explosive; powerfully effervescent; complex, warming, and gradually fading to earthy notes in the finish.
Château de Nages ButiNages Costières de Nîmes BlancFrom the year Kuipers went into space (2011) and drank it perfectly upon his return!
