Robot arm, distillery and more
However, what truly makes this hospitality concept unique is the cocktail bar on the first floor. Here you will find the robotic arm Armando pouring the 56 different homemade liqueurs, rums, and gin from the eight-meter-high liquor cabinet. This type of robot normally has only medical and industrial applications; Mr. Mofongo is the first company in the world where the robotic arm is an extension of the bartenders. The cocktail bar, featuring classic cocktails and variations with an exciting twist, is part of Mofongo’s Distillery.
Mofongo’s Rooftop Winebar is the place where innovation and experience come together. Around 70 different wines are served here from the established old as well as the new wine world. Selected by our sommelier, owner Beijk, and Máximo Mofongo herself, who have taken many wine trips together in recent years. We use a unique robotic tap system here, allowing you to order the most exclusive wines simply by the glass, a so-called “wine-by-the-glass concept”. In addition, a global food menu is offered featuring beautiful international dishes to share.
In the distillery, one floor up, spirits are processed in-house from base ingredient to finished product: from high-quality gin to the purest vodka. Guests are at the heart of the process of making liqueurs and other special drinks using ingredients from all over the world. From the bar, there is an unobstructed view of the upper floors, where two copper stills, large vats of house-blended rum, the distillation room, and the infusion room can be admired. This ensures complete transparency regarding the process of extracting liqueurs and distilling and aging spirits. The company also possesses a coffee roaster used to roast special coffee varieties from various continents daily.
