Job description
As Sous Chef, you are our Head Chef's right hand. You lead the brigade, safeguard quality, and bring global flavors to our guests' plates. You provide the energy and maintain an overview in a bustling, open kitchen. A role with a lot of responsibility, boldness, and plenty of room to turn your culinary ideas into reality.
What will you do?
- Leading the team: You lead the kitchen team, coach your colleagues, and ensure a pleasant atmosphere in the workplace.
- Ensuring quality: You keep a close eye on quality and guarantee that HACCP guidelines are flawlessly adhered to.
- Creative thinking: You actively contribute ideas regarding the menu, innovative dishes, and accurate calculations.
- Keeping the kitchen running: You maintain contact with suppliers and manage orders.
Who are we looking for?
- An experienced chef who knows how to lead and inspire a team.
Someone who is at their best when the kitchen is working at full capacity and the restaurant is buzzing.
- An approachable leader with a passion for the profession, who enjoys showing that in an open kitchen.
- A go-getter who stays level-headed under pressure, works extremely hard, and ensures a good atmosphere on the floor.
- A connector between the kitchen and the service. After all, for you, the pass is not a dividing line, but the place where we do it together.
What can you expect from us?
- Career advancement opportunities: Standing still is not for us. With targeted training, you will develop on the shop floor. And because we are part of The Boilermaker Group (including The Stockroom, BOEL, FIXY, Feithhuis, and Graansilo), career advancement opportunities in the city are plentiful.
- No hierarchical hassle: Room for your ideas and insights. We simply execute good ideas.
- Well arranged: A salary commensurate with your experience and performance (in accordance with the Hospitality CLA), paid neatly and on time.
- A close-knit crew: Working in a down-to-earth team where the atmosphere is good, everyone is there for each other, and we regularly organize cool things outside of work.
