Job description

As a kitchen assistant, you are the indispensable engine behind the scenes. You ensure the kitchen remains tightly organized, the mise-en-place is in order, and everything is ready for service. From cutting and portioning fresh ingredients to assisting in the dishwashing area, thanks to you, the kitchen team can perform at full capacity. You work side-by-side with experienced chefs who are eager to teach you the tricks of the trade.

What will you do?
- Tight preparation: You assist with the mise-en-place by cutting, portioning, and setting out ingredients.
- Order and overview: You ensure that supplies are replenished and that the cooks have everything within reach.
- Clean and efficient work: You keep the workplace and the dishwashing area organized and work strictly according to HACCP guidelines.
- Learning in practice: You work closely with the chefs and pick up more and more in the kitchen.

Who are we looking for?
- A go-getter who likes to roll up their sleeves and gets energy from a busy store.
- Someone who can work quickly, but remains meticulous and hygienic.
- A team player with a curious attitude who wants to grow in the kitchen profession.
You are flexible and stress-resistant when the orders keep coming in.

What can you expect from us?
- Career advancement opportunities: Our experienced chefs will teach you the trade. And because we are part of The Boilermaker Group (including The Stockroom, BOEL, FIXY, Feithhuis, and Graansilo), there are plenty of opportunities for advancement in Groningen.
- No hierarchical hassle: Room for your ideas and insights. Good energy and commitment are immediately rewarded.
- Well arranged: A salary commensurate with your experience and performance (in accordance with the Hospitality CLA), paid neatly and on time.
- A close-knit crew: Working in a down-to-earth team where the atmosphere is good, everyone is there for each other, and we regularly organize cool things outside of work.
