2nd edition Groningen Hospitality Fair: Something for everyone

The second edition of the Groninger Horecabeurs will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013. This year, the fair will focus on diversity and innovation. Under the motto “taste, try, and learn,” visitors can discover various new products and services for the hospitality industry.

Just like last year, the fair is being held in the Martinikerk in the heart of Groningen. For the day, the atmospheric venue is transformed into a veritable exhibition floor, where more than 30 exhibitors showcase their latest products and services.
“One of the trends in the hospitality sector is that there is increasing attention being paid to green business practices,” says Joris van Berkel, initiator behind the Groninger Horecabeurs. “With that theme, you can of course go in many directions, and we want to showcase this at the fair. For instance, this will be the first fair where visitors can order and pay entirely via mobile, by using a special appTherefore, paper tickets are no longer required. This is one of the ways we want to inspire visitors with innovative exhibition stands.

The Groningen Hospitality Fair offers a very diverse program, including a number of exciting premieres.
In addition to the already successful beer tapping competition for example, there will be for the first time a Barista competition be held. There is also live coffee roasted, where the visitor can smell and taste what is needed to get from a green coffee bean to a fresh cup of coffee.
