7 Layers Sessions: Dotan presents his favorite singer-songwriter evening. This evening, Dotan will introduce us to the singer-songwriters he has personally invited. Dotan is keeping the identities of these adventurous singer-songwriters a secret for now, but it is certain that it will be a special evening.!
‘7 Layers’ stands for the seven layers that make up our skin. By peeling back these layers, you get closer to the ‘core,’ and that is where the purest things emerge. Music should be like that too! As a musician, you bare your soul and are willing to share personal stories with a large group of ‘strangers.’ This raw approach takes center stage at the ‘7 Layers’ evenings. An artist with their instrument, original songs, and an authentic story. Essentially, the venue is transformed into a living room that evening where new music can be discovered. No beats, no over-produced music, just real songs and real stories.
“The decision to organize a ‘7 Layers’ evening in Groningen actually feels like the obvious choice. I always really enjoy playing here myself, and Groningen breathes music in many different ways. “I am therefore very proud that this evening with international singer-songwriters gets to take place at this amazing venue,” says Dotan.
