Bos&Bos catering, along with its seven associated hospitality businesses in Groningen and Drenthe, was acquired by the Vermaat Group as of October 1, 2018, reports the Dagblad van het Noorden.
In total, 85 full-time employees and 120 on-call workers are employed at Bos&Bos. In addition to the catering company, this includes Bites&Flights at Groningen Airport Eelde, the Mendini Restaurant in the Groninger Museum, Grand Café Krul in the Drents Museum, Huis de Beurs, the Groninger Forum, DOT, and Paviljoen Sterrebos.
Renske Bos owns Bos&Bos together with her husband John. Both had known the Vermaat Group for years and had been in discussions with the hospitality company for quite some time regarding the sale of their business.
The Vermaat Group has now established 300 hospitality concepts, including the catering at Schiphol, the Rijksmuseum, the Fries Museum, and the Van Gogh Museum. Vermaat also handles the catering for, for example, the Medical Center Leeuwarden and Google in Eemshaven.
Vermaat is also managing the hospitality in the Groninger Forum, which is yet to be completed, including a grand café on the ground floor, the restaurant on the top floor, and the film café on the fifth floor.
