Café Eureka officially opens on Friday, October 8. It is located in the listed building at Gedempte Kattendiep 15, the former Catshuys. Café Eureka boasts the fine, authentic atmosphere of a traditional pub, where you can enjoy delicious craft beers and cocktails. At the same time, the hosts are not afraid to throw a good party on Friday and Saturday nights.
In this cozy brown café, you immediately feel welcome and seen. It is an authentic yet fresh and open pub. There is no cliquey atmosphere, as is often the case in traditional brown cafés. Here, people are talking, drinking, and laughing together; from young to old, from local to tourist.

Making you feel welcome is something Angelo Koops and Ricardo van Zutphen are entrusted with; they are the faces behind Eureka.
Owner Angelo Koops became the new owner almost three months ago. He is a born entrepreneur with a great love for traditional pubs and conviviality. Business Manager Ricardo van Zutphen
Ricardo Van Zutphen has been appointed as manager. He is someone who breathes hospitality. His years of experience at De Drie Gezusters and Shooters have taught him what the hospitality trade is all about and how to throw a good party. Why is he taking the plunge with Eureka?
Van Zutphen: “It is precisely when a pub is small that you can make a difference as a bartender. Here, I work one-on-one with the guests, giving people the feeling that they are sitting together drinking a beer at home.”

Eureka's drinks menu will appeal to a wide audience. On it, for example, you will find a varied assortment of craft beers. Every beer lover will want to try a few. Prefer a cocktail? At Café Eureka, there are fresh and sweet cocktails, as well as dark and powerful ones.
You don't have to worry about having to leave the room to eat somewhere else in between. The hosts have thought of that too. Van Zutphen: “We tested various tapas during the trial run. On many
In the evenings, we handed them out in the restaurant to see what people thought of them. This shows, at the very least, that they enjoy quality. Based on this, starting from the official opening, we are ensuring the ideal composition of our tapas boards.

The official opening takes place on Friday, October 8.
