Family Distillery Hooghoudt is open on Father's Day. Fathers and their family members are welcome for a tour on that day, Sunday, June 21, 2015, for €9.50 per person. One tour starts at 2:00 PM and another at 4:00 PM.
Marielle Bakker, event manager at Hooghoudt, came up with the idea for the outing: ‘Our distillery thrives on family, taste, discovery, and enjoying things together. On Father’s Day, all of this comes together, so we are opening our doors. Besides hoping to make a few fathers very happy and letting them taste our products, we especially want to say: make time for each other and enjoy a flavorful experience together.’
During the tour, visitors get to know Hooghoudt from the inside. Literally. They can admire the showpieces from its more than 125-year history and the milestones, and experience firsthand in the distillery how Hooghoudt achieves its beloved flavors. Aging, distilling, blending, and extracting; you will experience it all during the visit.
The tour concludes with a ultimate tasting experience: a few of Hooghoudt’s gins and cheese-gin pairings. Of course, you are also welcome to enjoy a real Hooghoudt lemonade.
