Who serves the best drink without making a mess? Who puts on the most impressive cocktail show? In short, who is the nicest bartender in Groningen? We will know this coming Monday. During an exciting finale at Huize Maas, the audience present, in consultation with an expert jury, will choose a winner who may call themselves “The Nicest Bartender in Groningen” for a year.
There are still seven bartenders in the race. Via Facebook The public can vote for a candidate until Saturday, November 24. Nearly 3,500 have already done so. The three bartenders with the most votes will face each other in the final on Monday. “Miranda Dekker from the Amicitiabar is in the lead with nearly 1,000 votes, but anything can still happen. The race is not over yet,” says initiator Joris van Berkel.
The digital votes via Facebook will be added to the votes of the live audience and the points awarded by the expert jury during the final. These points can be earned during three master challenges, including a cocktail show. The best bartender in Groningen will go home with an extensive prize package and the prestigious title.
Monday November 26 from 19:00 Huize Maas is open to the public. The Subsonics will provide the music. Sam Trompert (known from STUG TV) will host the evening. The event is organized by Horeca Groningen and the popular student television program STUG TV.
The organization has also made a prize available for the voting public this evening; come by, vote, and automatically stand a chance to win this wonderful prize.
