Eetcafé De Stadstuin is expanding. Restaurant De Markies on Koninginnelaan will make way for the new eatery in early October.
Last Tuesday, De Markies announced that they had sold the business and that the restaurant will remain open until September 14.
According to the new owners, Marije Boelens-Munneke and Alex Boelens, the same concept as at the Hereweg location will be applied. A personal approach, a homely and relaxed atmosphere, hospitality, and a good price-quality ratio are terms that perfectly describe both of them.
The City Garden is known for their high-quality yet affordable food. The chef, Dennis Brouwer, who works at De Stadstuin, is of course not there for nothingBest Chef of the Northern Netherlands 2015became during Klaar Af Kook and last June he also won the cooking competition Cooking with the Market and thereby became the “Best Chef of the Market 2017“.
It is not yet certain whether Dennis will be moving to the new location, but from the beginning of October, everyone is very welcome at Eatery De Stadstuin Noorderplantsoen.
