Lovers of culinary bites & delicious drinks will be completely satisfied on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October 2021 at the second edition of the Gastronomie Festival in the Martinikerk Groningen. After the successful first edition in March 2020, where the organization welcomed 3,000 visitors, and the expected easing of coronavirus measures, the time is ripe for a second edition of the atmospheric culinary festival.

This year, too, visitors can enjoy many stands featuring fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes, delicious wines and craft beers, regional delicacies, desserts, culinary snacks, and more. At the Gastronomy Festival 2021, restaurants, eateries, chefs, and entrepreneurs present their dishes, drinks, and regional products to the public.

Gastronomie Festival originated from the concept of ‘Proeven in Groningen’, where visitors can enjoy everything the northern hospitality industry has to offer in terms of food and drink at various stalls. Gastronomie Festival is therefore the place to discover new dishes and drinks and to meet (hospitality) entrepreneurs one-on-one. You can learn all about culinary delights and participate in various food workshops and tastings. The festival takes place indoors; this is a deliberate choice by the organization to avoid being dependent on weather conditions in the spring or autumn.

The second edition of the Gastronomy Festival takes place on Friday, October 29, 2021, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, October 30, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and this year the atmospheric Martinikerk chosen as the location. Kids are more than welcome at the festival! You can relax on large themed terraces and be entertained with a diverse program. In the coming months, the full program will be announced and the participating companies will be presented.
