In these crazy times, VHC ActiFood in Oosterwolde wants to keep hospitality entrepreneurs informed about current trends and developments. Unfortunately, a physical trade fair is not possible this year, but even now, this hospitality wholesaler has come up with something unique! Therefore, on April 1st, VHC ActiFood is launching a virtual hospitality trade fair featuring over 85 exhibitors. The fair will be accessible to every hospitality entrepreneur at any time for a month.
VHC ActiFood is a catering wholesaler in Oosterwolde with premises spanning 15,000 m². The wholesaler was founded on January 24, 2000, by Evert Blaauw, Jan Veenstra, Bert Geuze, and Koenraad Winter. Currently, a total of 250 employees are on staff. In the showroom in Oosterwolde, hospitality entrepreneurs find inspiration regarding the possibilities in the areas of interior design, kitchen equipment, technology, and services.
The organization distinguishes itself with personal service, as the entire supply chain is managed in-house: from fresh produce to the distribution network. Orders are delivered to customers in Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, and Overijssel six days a week. The following Wadden Islands are supplied from VHC Waddenfood: Ameland, Vlieland, Schiermonnikoog, and Terschelling. Transport is as sustainable as possible: the trucks are cooled using solar panels on the roof.
VHC ActiFood has its own 3,000 m² fresh food center, consisting of a vegetable department, vegetable cutting facility, butcher shop, and fish department. The assortment comprises more than 40,000 products and closely aligns with the wishes of today's consumer, who consciously chooses regional, fair trade, sustainable, and organic products. Is a desired item not in the assortment? Then the appropriate item will be searched for you!
