Tastes differ at Horecabeurs Noord Nederland

After a spectacular fifth edition of the Horecabeurs Noord Nederland in 2016, the sixth edition of will take place this year on Monday, October 2, 2017. HBNN in the Martinikerk in Groningen. This exhibition day will be entirely dedicated to ‘tastes differ’.

The economy is growing, and hospitality businesses are benefiting from this as well; there is once again significant investment, innovation, and new ventures. New hospitality concepts such as temporary pop-up businesses, 'all-you-can-eat' restaurants serving international cuisine, shops with integrated dining areas, and trendy coffee bars are springing up like mushrooms. Everything is in keeping with the spirit of the times: it has to be 'quick & fast'.

Theme: tastes differ

It is of great importance for hospitality entrepreneurs to move with new trends or, conversely, to remain entirely traditional while utilizing new means. After all, guests' tastes also change over time, a fact that is often underestimated. Expectations regarding a total experience in the hospitality industry are considerably higher nowadays, and the average visit is often much shorter than in the past.

Hospitality businesses that realize this and anticipate it make the difference; quality has a future. The Horecabeurs Noord Nederland offers a platform with a packed day program, at one of the most beautiful spots in the city of Groningen.

Grand wine street & beer plaza

New at the fair this year is the ‘largest wine street’ in the Martinikerk. Under the expert guidance of the wine experts from Wine merchant Dikkers and various wine producers from home and abroad, more than a hundred wines can be tasted by the glass here! In addition, the already well-known Lijfering ‘beer plaza’ will be set up for the third year in a row. Here, as a hospitality entrepreneur, you can taste various specialty beers and receive advice on specialty beer.

Cocktail Plaza & Spirits

This year provides Boilermaker for the first time, the cocktail plaza & spirits square. Boilermaker (Lennart Deddens, Dutch #1 bartender 2015, and Peter Torenbosch, renowned beer sommelier) will introduce the trade fair audience to cocktails & spirits through tastings, competitions, and their own show bar. The objective is to create a high-quality and interactive cocktails & spirits square at Horecabeurs Noord Nederland 2017, together with fine spirits.
