Eurosonic Noorderslag confirms the project Parels van de Jordaan, Era Istrefi, and Luwten. Furthermore, a great deal of Northern Dutch talent has been added to the line-ups of Eurosonic and Grunnsonic. These include showcases by Hans Hanneman, Stuart Mavis, Orange Skyline, and Kraantje Pappie on Saturday afternoon at the Grote Markt, and the Popkoepel selection (Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel).
With these confirmations, the festival program of Eurosonic Noorderslag complete. The Block schedules are online So from now on, you can start making a plan for a journey of discovery through the line-up of over 300 acts.
With Parels van de Jordaan, Top Notch pays tribute to the notorious immigrant neighborhood of yesteryear. The connection is, of course, not that strange. After all, it is not in many musical genres that artists name themselves after the neighborhood they come from. And isn't it true that in both hip-hop and Jordaan blues, artists write under various aliases about the neighborhood, parties, and poverty? Tante Leen and Snoop Dogg aren't that far apart. At Noorderslag, Parels van de Jordaan is represented by, among others: Thijs Boontjes, Janne Schra, Roxeanne Hazes, and Willeke Alberti.

Eurosonic Noorderslag asked 35 international media outlets which five acts from the program they believe should be watched. This resulted in an extensive ‘Recommended’ list in which the following ten acts were mentioned most frequently: Amber Arcades (NL), Anna Meredith (GB), Anna of the North (GB), Her (FR), Mémoria de Peixe (PT), Sløtface (NO), Skott (SE), Best Youth (PT), First Breath After a Coma, and Roosevelt (DE). In collaboration with four provincial pop umbrella organizations (POP Groningen, Friesland Pop, K&C Drenthe and Poppunt OverijsselNorthern Dutch musical talent is represented during Grunnsonic and the Popkoepels showcases at Lola and Club Kiwi. POPgroningen selected the acts The Movement, Hans Hanneman, and Ortega for this. Friesland Pop nominates Pendants, Tolls, and Abdomen. K&C Drenthe has assigned a spot to Loop Alley, Blackbriar, and Timo de Jong, and Poppunt Overijssel presents Dokter Watjes, Mandrake’s Monster, and Money & the Man.
At the free-to-attend Grunnsonic, Groningen talent is put in the spotlight; the Grunnssonic line-up consists of: A Fugitive, Arch origin, BDKR, Boyz in the Woods, Cazz Major, City of Life, De Kat, DraMali, Drico, Electropoëzie, Former, Haas, Hans Hannemann, Hollow Men, HoppaH, Jeftuz, J’lectroniq, Joost Dijkema, KIN, Kinoo, Kira, Kraantje Pappie, Manzi, Marble Heart, McScallywag, Meadowlake, Model Depose, Mr. Memoir, MyDearestDear, Orange Skyline, Roberto Tan, Roelie Vuitton, Roëndy Rosanjo, Santa Fé, Sascha Elisah, Savannah, Stuart Mavis, The Binary Mind, The Blind Roofers, The Movement, The Rising Sun, Vera's Charm, Victors Village, View for a Day, Vikings in Tibet, We Love You Sally Lightfoot and Willie Darktrousers.
