For over two months, the view for Groningen cinema-goers leaving the screening room has changed. On the corner of Kleine Haddingestraat and Zuiderdiep, since mid-July The Cabin opened. It was under renovation for three months before the doors opened. During that time, the old café was completely gutted to build something unique on that site.

Bas Belz and Gerry O’Donohue, two men who came to Groningen for love, found each other in a shared passion: the passion for hospitality. The two joined forces in April, and the result is rock solid!

Bar

An informal and intimate atmosphere is created behind and in front of the bar. You are involved in what you are looking for and advised where necessary. The gigantic poplar wood bar top, sawn from a single piece, invites you to enjoy a pint of Guinness or a Gin & Tonic, exactly the way you like it. A craft beer with a wide selection, or perhaps a coffee with a good conversation. In The Cabin, there is something for everyone, and it is a place not to be missed for every Groninger!
