Can Groningen become more hospitable with Top Dutch?

We will hear that at the seventh Gastvrij050 meeting in the city of Groningen on Tuesday, February 28 at 5:00 PM.

Gastvrij050 was launched in November 2015 in response to a call for connection, shared ambitions, and collaboration in the city of Groningen.

Gastvrij050 aims to build a bridge between hospitality businesses, knowledge institutions, retail, entrepreneurs, the municipality, and the province of Groningen for greater impact and collaboration.

Gastvrij050 is an initiative of Ineke de Boer of ‘s Amuse Catering, Haskia Kramer of Internoord Reizen, and Martine Hamminga of Echt Martine, Marketing, Sales & Hospitality.

Gastvrij050 holds six meetings per year. The approach is accessible and informal. The focus is on connecting, talking to each other, and collaborating where possible.

“We think far too much in terms of disadvantage and our own frame of reference,” says Martine Hamminga, who, drawing on her years of experience as a hospitality specialist, has listened carefully to what visitors say about the Northern Netherlands.
She hears the most beautiful stories about our city and region that have nothing to do with our own Calimero mentality.

Ineke de Boer adds: “We should be a bit prouder of what we have and focus on that. Looking at what we have to offer together.” “At every meeting in Café de Sleutel I am once again pleasantly surprised by the people who attend the Gastvrij050 meeting and do not yet know each other.

Haskia Kramer, busy setting up the first exploratory trip to Copenhagen from Groningen Airport Eelde with the GRQ Business Network, says: “Collaboration pays off. We often don't know what the other person is doing right now.” “Choosing a direction together and standing by it is now more important than ever!”
“Now is the time to stop hiding behind egos and logos and go for the common goal,” said Kramer.

Gastvrij050 is on Tuesday, February 28, between 17:00 and 18:30 at Café De Sleutel, Noorderhaven 72 in Groningen.

Between 5:30 PM and 6:00 PM, Anita Pepping asks Gerard de Boer (Top Dutch campaign manager) about Top Dutch. Top Dutch, the campaign that was put together in a few weeks to convince and entice Tesla to establish itself in the Northern Netherlands as well.

Now that a few weeks have passed, it seems like we are all Top Dutch? What is going on? And more importantly? How can we tap into that overall positive Top Dutch sentiment? Is Top Dutch becoming a brand?
