Dalebout (47), who was already a 50% owner, has taken over the shares of Frans Kappenburg (68) effective December 1st and has thereby become the sole owner of the Martini Hotel Group and has secured the future of this fine company through this transaction. The real estate of WEEVA, Martini Hotel and Bud Gett Hostels has been sold by Dalebout to Van der Vorm Vastgoed BV in Rotterdam.
In addition to the operations on the Zuiderdiep, there are also the operations of Rabenhaupt Tavern and Brink Hotel came into the hands of Dalebout.
Dalebout and Kappenburg still own together De Rietschans at Lake Paterswolde.
In addition, Kappenburg has the beach pavilion under construction in Haren, which opens at Easter. It is his 17th business. After selling the City Hotel in the city in 2001, he bought WEEVA from the IJsseldijk family on the Zuiderdiep in 2002. He renamed it the Martini Hotel. In 2008, Dalebout became its director. They expanded the hotel with a hostel with 134 beds, and the hotel grew from 76 to 117 rooms. In 2011, they opened restaurant WEEVA (Woon- En Eethuis Voor Allen - Living and Dining House for All), exactly 140 years after the public soup kitchen served its first meals there. Together, they subsequently also started restaurant De Rietschans (which went up in flames shortly after opening in 2014 and has since been rebuilt).
Dalebout was assisted during this acquisition by BNP Paribas Real Estate, Trip Notarissen, Connectorfinance, and Afier.
