World's largest beer dinner in Martinikerk Groningen

On Thursday, April 7, Bierfestival Groningen presents the world's largest beer dinner featuring regional beers and products. The table will be set in the Martinikerk in Groningen for over 600 Burgundian-minded beer lovers. The menu features honest regional products and matching specialty beers brewed with passion.

In collaboration with Restaurant ’t Feithhuis, Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Progress Events, and Bierista, a seven-course dinner is being presented featuring matching beers from the north of the Netherlands. The menu is being curated by ’t Feithhuis in collaboration with Albert Kooy, the founder of Dutch Cuisine. British beer sommelier Melissa Cole will be present to guide the beer and food pairings. As part of the collaboration between ’t Feithhuis and Albert Kooy, students from Stenden Hotel Management School in Leeuwarden are involved in the preparations and execution of this event. During the beer dinner, Melissa Cole will present the various courses and explain the choices for the beers and dishes.

Doors open for dinner from 18:30 to 19:00, and dinner takes place between 19:00 and 22:30 in the Martinikerk, one of the most beautiful locations in the north. During this evening, the best beer from the north of the Netherlands will also be announced. A consumer jury will determine which beer can call itself The Tastiest Beer of the Northern Netherlands.

Tickets for this special dinner, including paired beers, cost €65.00 and are available via the official website of Groningen Beer Festival and at all Primera branches in the Netherlands.

Bierfestival Groningen has been active for 5 years in promoting beer and food pairings. On Saturday afternoon, April 9 at 1:00 PM, there will be a beer and food competition in the Martinikerk during Bierfestival Groningen.
