Stichting Wijnfestival Noord organizes the Groningen Wine Festival. The festival takes place in the Der Aa-kerk from Friday, September 30 to Sunday, October 2, 2016.
Groningen will be all about wine for three days. ‘There is already a Whisky Festival and a Beer Festival in the city, but a Wine Festival was still missing. That had to change,’ says the organizing body, Stichting Wijnfestival Noord. At the festival, wine lovers can indulge in tasting wines from all corners of the world. Various wine shops, wineries, and wine importers from Groningen and the surrounding area will let visitors sample their gems. There are also all kinds of dishes and snacks available in a real food court, ranging from a classic cheese platter to delicious game or a fresh oyster.
The wine festival has all the ingredients to make it a fantastic wine weekend: ‘Good wine, enthusiastic exhibitors, and a stunning location ensure that the Der Aa-kerk is bubbling and buzzing.’
