Last Tuesday, we received the sad news that our good friend Cees Plaggemars passed away very unexpectedly at the far too young age of 65.
Cees, known as Cees the fishmonger in the Groningen hospitality industry, had been delivering his orders to various catering establishments on his distinctive scooter for years.
Characteristically wearing a cap, he would regularly come to the bar for a drink, and with his raw, loud voice and typical humor, he would manage to put a smile on everyone's face. What a mood setter, what a bon vivant. “Well, just one more drink then!” Cheers, Cees, to you.
