Today we received the sad news that our good friend Wim Angerman (66) has passed away.
Wim, known as the ‘Bluesman’ in the Groningen hospitality industry, had for years acted as coordinator ensuring that many festivities could be held in the Elleboogenbuurt, and had also been organizing the free-to-attend festival for nine years. Blues Tour GroningenIt is a pity that he cannot experience the tenth edition of his life's work, which will be held at the end of February 2018.
Characteristic of his black hat and friendly smile, he always ordered a 'prinsje'; the bartenders knew exactly what he meant.
On behalf of the entire team at Horecagroningen.nl, we wish family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances from the blues and hospitality scene much strength during this great loss.
