Registration Ready Set Cook Open

On Monday, October 3, 2016, the third edition of the successful Klaar Af Kook, the professional competition of the North, will take place during the anniversary edition of Horecabeurs Noord Nederland. The authentic Martinikerk will once again host the exciting competition in which professional (beginner and advanced) chefs compete against each other.

The match
Klaar Af Kook consists of three rounds in which selected chefs compete against each other. While cooking involves a pre-known selection of ingredients in both the cooking round and the semi-final, the final will depend entirely on the ingenuity and creativity of the chefs during the challenge of a Black Box assignment.

There are many chefs in the Northern Netherlands who cook at a high level; the eventual winner may call himself ‘Best Chef of the Northern Netherlands’ for a year.

According to a knockout system, the various chefs will compete against each other in the cooking rounds, cooking in pools of four chefs simultaneously. All this takes place under the watchful eye of a highly expert professional jury. The best eight chefs from the first cooking round advance to the semi-finals. Finally, the best four chefs compete against each other in the final, where the winner receives the coveted door sticker in addition to a magnificent prize. With this, the establishment can demonstrate that the best chef of Northern Netherlands 2016 is at work here.
