Fermentation Inspiration Session Groningen

Get lost, off to Foodyard Groningen! On November 30, we are holding a Fermentation inspiration session.

In the past, when there were no refrigerators, everything was fermented. Fermentation changes the taste, color, and often the texture of the ingredients. This creates old items for your dishes, in a new guise. Or a very old guise, depending on how you look at it.

How it works on paper
Bacteria, yeast, and molds get to work in a preserving jar to ferment your vegetables, for example, into something new. Subsequently, those vegetables contain a large number of probiotics, which is incredibly healthy for you. It helps your gut and tastes delicious too! It is packed with vitamin K2, which can never be a bad thing. Additionally, it has a very long shelf life, so you always have a “fresh supply” at home.

How it works in practice
You can discover this for yourself during this inspiration session! Under the guidance of fermentation specialist and enthusiast Christian Weij (Papa’s Pasta), we will be fermenting, and naturally, there will be plenty of tasting.
