Johnny Többen from Cafe De Ster has passed away.

The former owner of hard rock café De Ster in Peperstraat passed away on Wednesday evening. His wife, Mieke Remkes, announced this via their joint Facebook page.

Together with his partner Mieke Remkes, he ran the pub from 1980 to 2010, which had a reputation far beyond the country as Groningen's only hard rock café. The owner had to leave when the brewery Inbev decided to sell the property.
