From June 10 to 13, the ImpressFest festival will be organized for the fifth year at Verzetstrijderslaan 2 in Groningen. ImpressFest is a theater, music, audiovisual, and design festival organized and performed by the students of Noorderpoort Art & Multimedia. This year, the theme of the festival is ‘Soul & Bliss’.
Originally, the festival was created as a platform for graduating students to present their final projects. Since then, ImpressFest has grown into a pleasant, quirky, and youthful addition to the city's regular festival offerings. Four days packed with theatre and music performances, films, and art exhibitions.
A small selection from the full program. Under the direction of Karin Noeken, the production ‘De Bruiloft’ is being created with students. The Groningen band Oes performs during the festival. The daily ‘Dick’s Tiki Wiki Diki show’ is a great mix of comedy and theater. Fourteen graduation theater performances are scheduled. Many DJs and bands perform for four days. Films made by students can be viewed in the cinema. Every day there is the Impress Talkshow, featuring an update on the talented world of art, culture, and music in Groningen.
