Yesterday, the new logo of family distillery Hooghoudt was unveiled on the Grote Markt in Groningen. The old logo, which displayed the Vindicat student association building for years, has been replaced by a new one. The new logo stems from the change of direction recently initiated at Hooghoudt. A next step in the distillery's rich history.
Hooghoudt, which celebrates its 125th anniversary next year, has given all its bottles a new, contemporary look. These bottles will once again tell the story of Hooghoudt. Director Arno Donkersloot: ‘Our gins and other Hooghoudt drinks are special products with 100% natural ingredients. We would like to tell enthusiasts more about the composition of our drinks and how we have been capturing flavors in alcohol since 1888 – the 4th generation already.’
Hooghoudt, Groningen and new flavors
Since the very beginning, Hooghoudt has been inextricably linked to the beautiful city of Groningen. Donkersloot: ‘We feel the mutual love, and we will continue to give it the attention it deserves. And a series of new drinks fits perfectly into the story of our roots, our mentality, and our drive for innovation.’ Hooghoudt is launching, among other things, new special jenevers.
For four generations
The new Hooghoudt logo was unveiled by the third and fourth generations of the Hooghoudt family. Hero Jan Hooghoudt, 83 years old, who can still be found at the distillery every week, and his son Bert Hooghoudt, who continues the family tradition. The new bottles – with familiar flavors and each with its own story – are available in stores starting this month.
