Container Hostel Rebel Rebel is establishing itself on the former Suikerunie site. The two initiators, Anna and Anika, are looking for investors so that they can welcome their first guests in the summer. The duo is doing this by means of a crowdfunding campaign which starts tomorrow.
In May 2015, the two rebellious entrepreneurs won the pitch competition for the green shipping container on stilts at the Suikerunie site, and since then they have managed to expand their empire with eight more containers. With the help of investors via a crowdfunding campaign on the Crowdaboutnow platform, they hope to open the hostel this summer. You can invest via the site in the coming months.
The container hostel is the first of its kind in the North. By using alternative and sustainable energy, it bridges the gap between industrial and green. On the former Suikerunie site, there is temporary space for innovative developments. Anna and Anika are capitalizing on this with their movable (Rebel Rebel) Hostel.
