The city of Groningen has gained a new Martinus brewery.

Groningen will soon have one more beer brewery with the name MartinusOn Friday, the brewing kettles were installed in the building on Kostersgang, in which a thousand liters of beer can be produced at a time.

There will be not only a brewery, but also a tasting room, which will open in September. The initiative comes from the family of Albert Jan Swierstra and Henriette Tukkers.

Swierstra had a graphic design company in the building, but commissions kept coming in. Therefore, a career switch was made.
