The dates for the Groningen Terraces Festival have been changed to Wednesday, June 12 through Sunday, June 16.
Vfor the first edition of The Groningen Terraces Festival The City Park is transformed into the coziest terrace in the North. The best Groningen establishments and terraces are present. For five days, a culinary, musical, and cultural program is offered, and the festival is free for all ages.
The event has been successfully organized in Amsterdam for two years, and the organization has decided to expand to the North. Regarding the choice of Groningen and the Stadspark, organizer Mitchel Bovenlander says the following:
We are very excited to bring the Terrassen Festival to cultural Groningen this year. Groningen is rich in beautiful parks and terraces, and the Stadspark is one of them. With the presence of water, endless lawns, shade, and sun, it is an ideal location for a festival like this.
The Groningen Terraces Festival, together with entrepreneurs from all corners of the city, forms the largest terrace in the North. A number of big names participating are Flinders, Wolter Wolthers and BlocksThe entrepreneurs are serving various drinks and delicacies for five days.
“We invite visitors to go in search of the tastiest dish, the best draft beer, and the best gin and tonic,” says Bovenlander.
The Groningen Terrassen Festival runs from Wednesday, June 12 to low tide, including Sunday, June 16. Admission to the festival is free.
More participating entrepreneurs will be announced later in the run-up to the Groningen Terrace Festival.
