Roll up your sleeves for the jury
Prior to the final, the nominated companies had to undergo a number of “tests.” One of the assignments was to welcome the jury as apprentices on their first day of work. At ’t Feithhuis, they knew exactly how to handle that. After a shortened version of the “new employee training,” the jury could get to work: behind the bar, serving customers, and in the kitchen. This was followed by interviews with mentors and apprentices from ’t Feithhuis. For ’t Feithhuis and the two other finalists, it was then a waiting game until January 10, when the winner of the national title would be announced. Owner Keimpe Postema: We have actually already won, because how wonderful is it when your own students nominate you as the best training company? That alone is worth its weight in gold!
