From now on, beer and chicken lovers can indulge themselves on the Gedempte Zuiderdiep. Taveerne Rabenhaupt opened here this week.
This new hotspot in the center of Groningen is the only tavern in the city where guests can tap their own beer at the table. Featuring tap tables, a large grill, and an extensive menu with chicken dishes and beer, the establishment is open daily from 10:00 AM.
Rabenhaupt Tavern works with 100% organic free-range chicken. This chicken has eaten exclusively special organic feed and has never received growth promoters or antibiotics. The tavern also offers an extensive selection of beers on tap and in bottles.
The company was named after an army commander. Carel Rabenhaupt who successfully defended the city against the attacks of Bommen Berend in 1672.
