Monday, May 30, 2011, is the day again: Groningen's best bartenders will battle it out to tap the city's finest beer. During the Tapping Competition in Der Aa-Theater Bartenders from various hospitality establishments compete against each other for the title of ‘Best Tapster of Groningen’.
Put your café, nightclub, or restaurant on the map with the best-tapped beer! In addition to eternal fame and the golden spatula, the three best beer tapsters will receive a number of great prizes. Furthermore, the top 5 finalists will have the honor of representing Groningen at the district final in November 2011!

The Tap Competition is a day where the beer (naturally) flows freely and where hospitality workers from all over the city come together. So, if you don't want to participate but do want to cheer? Spectators are more than welcome!
