For this 8th edition, bands and acts will perform in thirteen hospitality venues. The stages are located within walking distance in the city center of Groningen.
Two new locations have been included in BTG 2016, namely, the Key and the StoveJust like in the previous edition, the Yvette's bicycle taxis to and from the participating locations.
It is a program for the true blues (rock) enthusiast.
For instance, the Ghent band 70’s Tush is playing at Café Koster, while The Juke Joints are performing "traditionally" at Huize Maas—whose CD Heart on Fire has been named the best Bluesrock CD in Europe! Furthermore, swing band The Boogiemaster Company is performing at De Uurwerker, and at New Orleans, Raindog treats sensitive ears to a low-volume performance. Ralph de Jongh can be admired once again at Alto by popular demand, Lola lets loose with the infectious Sopar Blues, and Buckshot welcomes a driven formation, the Wildmen Blues Band. Café Mulder welcomes the fantastic singer AJ Plug, and Bucket Heat will musically warm up the venue at the Martini Hotel.
Performances as part of Blues Tour Groningen 2016 start at 21:30 and end at 01:00. Admission is free everywhere.
