More than eighty Groningen hospitality businesses are joining the #helpdehoreca voucher campaign.

These are particularly difficult times for the hospitality and events industry, which is now entering its second week of ‘lockdown’ and will remain closed to the public until June 1, 2020 (except for takeaway and delivery). The fact that this is having a major impact on hospitality entrepreneurs and their guests, despite various government schemes, is clearly visible in the streetscape. Dark and empty entertainment streets, silent pubs and empty tables in restaurants and eateries, and for some entrepreneurs, completely dried-up revenue.

Above all, stay in contact with your guests.
The unique situation our country (and the world) currently finds itself in due to the coronavirus means that everyone must adapt and find a way to continue ‘normal’ life to some extent. Numerous suppliers, brewers, and trade associations are therefore introducing support measures to support the hospitality and events industry. In addition, many entrepreneurs are switching to temporary or new business concepts to generate revenue and maintain contact with guests; maintaining that contact with guests is desperately needed to get through the crisis and the period thereafter.
