Café Week 2016: an extra touch of experience

From March 15 to March 20, 2016, the The third national Café Week has kicked off. The week focuses on enhanced experiences, activities, and conviviality in the participating cafés. This year, there are more than 200 participating cafés throughout the Netherlands.

The underlying idea behind HorecaBrains’ initiative is to put the ‘wet hospitality’ sector in the spotlight. In collaboration with various cafés, grand cafés, restaurants with a bar, and dance clubs, the organization aims to help the hospitality industry distinguish itself positively; the hospitality sector offers more than just a place to have a drink. By organizing various activities in the participating establishments, existing hospitality guests will be surprised with a different kind of experience, and new guests will be encouraged to discover the respective locations.

Program
Tuesday, March 15 – The official opening of Café Week takes place with the theme ‘Open House’, where guests can visit various establishments for a look behind the scenes.

Wednesday, March 16 – Various hospitality establishments will organize a beer tasting where many (specialty) beers will be evaluated using a special tasting form.

Thursday, March 17 – On this day, a music bingo will be organized where participants can cross off various artists and songs on their bingo card as they come on throughout the evening.

Friday, March 18 – Naturally, the Friday afternoon drinks cannot be missing from National Café Week, followed by Tapas Night, where hospitality businesses will offer their best Spanish snacks.
