This Friday, May 12th at 7:30 PM, there is a very special SMWS tasting at The Horn by Hans Offringa. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society is a large international whisky club that selects its own casks and where no compromises are made on quality and strength. These whiskies are becoming increasingly exclusive.
Hans Offringa was appointed last week during the Speyside Festival in Scotland to international whisky ambassador of the year. Hans Offringa is a whisky author, expert and has been since the beginning of the Whisky Festival Northern Netherlands involved with the festival and the man behind International Whisky Day. Offringa gave a masterclass with SMWS bottlings in der A-kerk in March.
We will be tasting 5 special cash strength whiskies and the cost is €35.00 including a boat tour through Groningen. Tickets are available online via smws.com or at the bar in the Toeter.
